Examination Services

Comprehensive Eye Exam

Routine exam includes a complete ocular health assessment, refraction, dilation, and prescription for glasses if needed. If you need a problem addressed during your well vision visit, your insurance may require that we reschedule the well vision exam for a different appointment time. (Vision Plan insurance is used for well vision visits)

A medically focused exam is when the doctor identifies the presence of a disease or if a patient is experiencing pain, ongoing headaches, dry eyes or other symptoms indicative of a medical issue. (Medical/Health Insurance plans are used for medical exams)

  • Eye disease detection: cataract, glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration
  • Eye allergies, dry eye
  • Eye infections, eye injuries, foreign body removal

Contact Lens Evaluations

Are performed on all patients that request a contact lens prescription. The evaluation is in addition to the Comprehensive Eye Examination to determine the long term vision and comfort of the lenses. (Fees for contact lens evaluations are in addition to the comprehensive eye examination, and may not be covered by all vision insurances.)
